Scanomy uses OCR and artificial intelligence to extract and analyze receipt data.
- Processing is performed solely to provide App functionality
- Extracted data may be temporarily processed by automated systems
- We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of extracted or analyzed data
- You remain the owner of your receipt data
6. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the service:
- Receipt images and extracted data are stored for the duration of your account
- Usage and transaction data are retained to provide historical analytics
- Account data is deleted within 30 days after account deletion, unless longer retention is required by law
You may request deletion at any time through the App settings.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Secure cloud infrastructure
- Encrypted data transmission
- Restricted access controls
- Regular monitoring and security updates
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights

- Export your data (CSV or Excel; available on Pro plans)
- Delete your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Object to or restrict certain data processing activities
Most of these rights can be exercised directly through the App settings.

Scanomy has an age rating of 4+ and is designed to be family-friendly.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental consent where required by law. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us.
10. International Data Transfers
Scanomy is available globally in countries where the Apple App Store and Google Play Store operate.
Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including compliance with applicable data protection laws and contractual protections where required.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
